Welcome, and thank you for your interest in teaching for the Institute of Reading Development. Our summer 2008 programs are underway and we are no longer accepting applications from prospective teachers.  However, through this website you will learn more about the Institute and our summer teaching opportunities. We provide a paid training program and comprehensive ongoing support. Summer teaching positions with the Institute offer the opportunity to:

• Earn more than $6000 during the summer.
• Gain over 500 hours of teacher training and teaching experience with a variety of age groups.
• Help students of all ages develop their reading skills and their ability to become imaginatively absorbed in books.
